Experience and Education

My Experience and Education

Here, I would like to tell you about my career and life experience, as well as my education.

Hi again, Tara Musich here, teacher of American English. I would like to talk to you first off, about my education. I graduated from high school in 2001 and I immediately began college and developed a love of languages in my first semester of Spanish. During my time at community college, I did very well in my studies and also participated in language immersion programs to Ensenada, Mexico, where I was an ambassador and hosted up to 55 students, three times a semester – to go to Mexico, live with families and involve themselves in cultural activities. It was a wonderful time of my life where I learned a lot,  not only about Spanish, but also about traveling and about managing large groups which helped me many times later on in my life. Eventually I got accepted to UCLA – The University of California, Los Angeles – which was a dream of mine since I was a very young girl. There, I received my bachelor’s degree in Spanish and [a minor in] Italian with honors, which was a wonderful accomplishment and graduated in 2007. Since 2007 I have been working as an English teacher, all over the world, really.

From 2007 to 2012 I taught in live classes in Spain, Mexico, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Peru and Argentina as well as in The United States. It was in 2012 (…where I got…) when I got the opportunity to teach online and that experience opened doors, so to speak, it’s a phrase we have in English …it it opened up opportunities for me. I got to travel while teaching which has always been my dream. I am an avid traveler – you can watch my video that’s titled Passions and [Hobbies] (not activities, haha) and see a little bit more about me and what I like to do – but I got to travel and teach English at the same time and since then I’ve been able to speak with people from all over the world and learn things that I never would have otherwise. One of the best things about my <<job>> – cause it’s really not like a job, it’s like taking a trip every day – is getting to talk to you, my students, people from all over the world and hearing their opinions and what they think and what they want to know, hearing their questions. This is why I love doing what I do. I hope that you will contact me today, so we can talk further about this. Thank you. Have a wonderful day. Bye.
