JAIMESON MUSICH
Nationality: American – Country of Residence: Japan
B.S. in Economics and Mathematics – TEFL Trained – Languages: English (Native), Japanese (Beg.)
Jaimeson Musich is my cousin and has been a professional teacher since 2012. He is a California native – currently living in Tokyo, Japan – and is an experienced teacher of various subjects. Motivated by alternative learning methods, he has taught Physics with LEGOS and currently teaches English to children with a special focus on music and song. He is optimistic, a great listener and truly concerned with the well-being of others. Jaimeson is the person I go to when I need a fun and fresh approach to a traditional methodology.
Jaimeson is very patient, thoughtful and willing to explain something until it is completely clear to his students. His fun-loving and relaxed manner make his classes easy to follow and benefit from. His interests include Japanese culture and language, playing the guitar, cooking with friends, singing karaoke, Anime, Rubik’s cubes of all shapes and sizes, composing music, and making the world a better place.
To learn more about Jaimeson’s education, work experience and teaching methods, please watch his video. You can follow along by reading the text script found below the video too!!
Hi! My name’s Jaimeson Musich and I’m a native speaker in American English as well as an experienced teacher. I’m originally from the United States, from Southern California, but I’ve also lived in Northern California and Chicago. I received my degree in Economics and Mathematics from Humboldt State University in 2012. However, my passion in teaching has really led me to a career in Education. Over the last 10 years that I’ve been teaching I’ve taught a wide range of age groups, from elementary school kids to professional adults. This fantastic variety of age groups have given my the ability to teach a wide range of subjects as well, including: Chess, physics through building Legos, all the way to higher Mathematics, Economics, English, and even Music. One of my favorite passions and hobbies is playing Guitar, writing lyrics, and structuring songs. And of course playing it with friends and family.
At the moment I’m living in Japan. Why you ask? There’s many reasons. One, I absolutely love Japanese animation, the food, the culture. But I also teach English professionally here. Here in Japan, I’ve taught conversation, Business English, structured grammar lessons, and have prepared students to take vital English exams such as the TOEFL, IELTS, and TOEIC. I’ve even had situations where students have come up to me and I’ve helped them with business advice. Really, it all depends on the individual student.
What sets me apart, as a teacher, is understanding how difficult it can be to learn a foreign language. For me, learning Japanese is NOT easy. But my goal is to become fluent, just as it is your goal to speak comfortably and with confidence. If anyone can understand how difficult it is…it’s me. So together we will work to find those weak points and develop these abilities so that you can overcome your challenges with English. With the use of literature, current events, movies, and even just talking, we can really work on your written, listening, and speaking skills for English, as well as fine tune your pronunciation. And even have fun doing it! I know some teachers can be a bit boring, but I assure you that will never be the case with me. And I can even offer you an MP3 recording of all our lessons.
So, thank you so much for giving me the time and listening to my video. I really look forward to getting to meet you and getting to know you on a personal level. Thank you very much.
